We just wrapped up the final week of scoring and sound design for the director’s cut of the movie “The Wizard of Gore” (Open Sky Entertainment), directed by Jeremy Kasten and starring Crispin Glover, Kip Pardue, Bijou Phillips and Jeffrey Combs. For more info on the movie visit the website.

We are excited to announce that Speed TV has licensed our track “Okay Okay” (Eric Powell/Kraig Tyler) for use in the opening titles of their new original television show “Drag Race High” in addition to several other placements throughout the first season of production. Microsoft has once again chosen Musicwest to provide the soundtrack to one of their latest major product offerings. The song “Spun” penned by Eric Powell and William Sarver has been licensed for use in the demo video created by top interactive agency, Avenue A - Razorfish for the Microsoft Office for Mac 2008 product suite. If you were at the 2008 Macworld conference you saw it at the Microsoft booth and you can now see it all over the web and at more formally at the Microsoft website. We recently wrapped up mixing two tracks for the indie film “Maggie” by writer/director Sanjay Nagar. With music being composed by the brilliant Saar Hendelman (”Anne Stewart: A Most Successful Failure”, “The Blue Line”). We are happy to announce that Musicwest founder and producer/composer, Eric Powell recently completed a remix for the upcoming KMFDM release, “Brimborium” (their first full blown remix album ever). The album features 13 tracks and clocks in at over 73 minutes including Eric’s remix of “Not In My Name” from “Tohuvabohu” (KMFDM’s 2007 release). Brimborium is a joint release between KMFDM Records and Metropolis Records.
